Atlanta Rhythm Section

Atlanta Rhythm Section is one of southern rock's most notable and sought after bands! They have been rockin' for over thirty years and the momentum is still going strong!

They have two gold and two platinum albums which helped secure them as a household name. Their first album, Atlanta Rhythm Section hit the record stores in 1972. Their first hit single, "So Into You" soared into the top ten charts in 1977. The album from which it came, Rock and Roll Alternative also held it's position on the top ten charts that year. Their 1978 follow up album, Champagne Jam followed it's predecessor into the top ten also.

Atlanta Rhythm Section was the brainchild of songwriter producer Buddie Buie. Buie toured as a member of Roy Orbison's Candymen. In 1965 Buie moved to Atlanta and was introduced to the top 40 band Classics IV . It was in this group that he helped pen the hit songs Spooky and Stormy. Spooky was to later resurface as a top 20 hit single for ARS.

In 1970 Buie brought sought after studio musicians together to form the Atlanta Rhythm Section. The band has had two top 10 hits, three top 20 hits, and four top 40 hits. Atlanta Rhythm Section was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1996.
